Dumaresq River, Texas (pic heavy)
« on: December 15, 2016, 08:02:29 PM »
Some pictures from the Dumaresq River which I fished with a mate over the last day or two.

The river where the grey nomads congregate near town.

My van is back in business :)

We launched from a reserve further downstream of town.

My first one fell to a spinnerbait.

My friend Todd's first ever Murray cod.

I love Red Bellies.

It was such a good subject I was able to get very close.,

The Todd with another.

A couple of surface models.

Early morning at Gilbraltar.

I was happy to see this, a fair size for a Dumaresq Yella.

Between the two of us we landed 9 cod and 2 yellas and there were plenty of hits.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers,
Dave.

No worries Eric.

You should do well. Keep in mind the weather in the wekks before hand. My previous 2 trips earlier in the year were ruined by very dirty and high water , and last summer was relatively hot and dry. Go figure.

Going by the debris the river has had some very good flow events during late winter and spring. Which has should be great for lure fishos. There are no weed issues at all, like what has plagued us in other dry seasons.

Cheers,
Dave.
