Title: Canoe Models
Post by: Craidon69 on April 01, 2013, 02:22:59 PM
Hi Guys,

Sorry to keep posting chasing info, but everyone seems to know alot on here, and more importantly seems to be catching alot as well!

Went for a walk along the bank this morning between the weir and colleges crossing for about 3 hrs without one strike. Kept working the eddies but Obviously need to get out on the water and get tight to the snags. As most of you appear to have kayaks, can anyone advise on a good begineers model? Was looking at a Old Town Vapor 10. Are they any good?

Cheers

After using Bassers' Old Town Vapour 12 about twelve months I went out and bought one; not everyones cup of tea, but I like it. They have heaps of room and are quite comfortable and stable.

Andrew has a 10 and I have a 12 .  The only thing I'd swap the vapour for is a Pack Angler.

I recently purchased a Pack Angler through Charltons Tackle. Great canoe, very stable for its size, I can easily stand in it, light as, tracks well, the family love it as we'll.  Thanks must go to Fitzy for directing me towards Craig at Charltons, and a big thanks to Craig for looking after me with the canoe and associated gear as well!  :thanks

Thanks Guys,

I think that answers my question. Vapor 10 Angler it is! Now to look around for the best deal.
