Great job Ray, Wish I knew your secrets (skills), I just spent 4 days on Monduran and almost the opposite of your catch, (2 Bass, 2 Tandans, 1 Pearch & 43 Fork Tailed Catties), I don't mind catching the unwanted fish, just so long as I'm fishing,
Kind regards,
Bluey55.

Water has now cleared but left black sediment everywhere.
The shrimp are a bit scarce and we normally see a lot of small fish on the ramp and they have gone.
Still got around 70 bass over 2 trips to the western arm this week. Pleasant surprise was a couple of yellas that made their way into the pan,
Had to resort to lures one day when we got 4 on flickershads
 Cheers

No petrol power only electric or paddle.
No sip required but you need a $40 yearly permit.Weekly permits also avail. Funds go to stocking assn not SEQ water.

How things change.
We went to the eastern arm yesterday we only got 17 shrimp from our pots    ( Normal catch is over 100)
Only 3 bass caught and even took 7 shrimp home.
Probably worse catch from the Hinze in 10 years apart from turning back due to wind.
It was still a good day and enjoyed watching the rangers using a drone to drop incendiaries on the hillsides to start fires to burn the undergrowth.
Both the bass and shrimp seem to have gone on holidays at both Hinze and North Pine but kurwongbah which is adjacent to NPD is fishing very well.
Cheers
Ray

Hey mate, do you require a permit (besides sips) to fish kurwongbah?

Had verbal advice from SEQ recreation that there will only be 2 no go areas for yaks
 1 dam Wall
2 in front of canoe club.
Have not seen any map as such and do not know if bubbler area will be excluded.
Just hope that Government get their finger out and process sips application so that stocking can recommence.
Plenty of bass over 40cm now being caught from bank but yellas remain elusive.
Bank fishing now only permitted from park near dam wall and Mick Hafling park the area near the ski club now no go for bank fishing.
This will upset the fly boys.
Cheers

Awesome thanks. Looks like it would be a top little dam for paddling.
