Title: Clarence Bass
Post by: Voltzy on January 02, 2012, 10:36:54 PM
HI,
How far up the clarence do bass travel? I am visiting a farm on a trib of the upper clarence near woodenbong NSW. Do the bass or even the cod go that far up the river?
Thanks

They'll be up there mate, I've seen them up as far as Tooloom. Whether thay've made up that far yet however is another question. They have afew barriers to get past. There are Cod up there as well but be aware that they are fully protected.
Cheers,
JD

Yeah I'd be keen to find out, I have an Aunty that lives below Tabulum in the hills and I have an open invitation to stay at her place. Its about a k from the river. I reckon for sure they would have to be there...I just don't think too many people are keen to tell us on a forum...

Cheers

Yeh mate, there's some good holes downstream from Tabulam, and it's not too bad if you want to do a bit of walking rather than boat/canoe. Usually best though below where the Rocky River comes in.
