Last Dance
« on: June 02, 2013, 01:18:26 PM »
Launched with Little Steve, Big Steve and Dale for a last dance before the season closed. Fish weren't as plentiful as we hoped but I still managed to land a few on the lures that the two Steve's had made for the occasion. Not much of a report but here are a few pics of the day with the lures hanging out their gobs.

I managed to meet up with the last dance crew at the death... I managed to cast off one lure when my main line snapped (must admit it was pretty old line) and then sat n chatted with Jason E while he jigged up about a dozen yellas on blades.
I skunked but happy I managed to make the last dance of the season with some of the crew, even if I was pretty late to get there.

It was a fun day, floating around.  Some pretty amazing tales told, most of which can't be repeated here.  Big Steve finds it hard to finish a story.....Little Steve finds it hard to catch a fish.....Wayne's little rods are something I haven't seen for about 40 years but the do the job for him.  Rather that lament the closing of Bass season, I was celebrating the start of Yellowbelly season with them legitimising the pastime by outnumbering the Bass on the day.  I ended up with 3 Yellas one of which ended up on the plate of a couple of blokes bank fishing.  Thanks for the fun day guys.

Nice job! I found the yellows owned the snags on our last run.  Found all the bass schooled up mid river, they took a liking to small blades slow hopped on the bottom. still dam bass at heart!
