Viewing platform at Wivenhoe Dam temporarily closed

From Monday 23 June 2014, the viewing platform at the Spillway Lookout on Wivenhoe Dam will be closed for approximately three months, as part of Seqwater’s ongoing maintenance program.
Maintenance activities have been scheduled for the 2014 dry season, which will involve accessing a section of the spillway underneath the viewing platform.
Public access to the recreation areas including the Spillway Common and paddle craft entry point at Atkinson’s Crossing will remain open during this period. The spillway can still be seen from other vantage points in the area.
To ensure the safety of our workers and the public, the platform and adjacent car park will be closed for the duration of the work, subject to weather conditions and other unexpected delays.
