Title: Ewen Maddock Fish Management Inc. AGM
Post by: Bracey on April 19, 2011, 04:41:59 PM
Official notification that the AGM  for the Ewen Maddock Fish Management Inc will be held at Mooloolah Valley Country Club commencing at 10:00am on 2nd May. The plan is to follow up the AGM with a family BBQ at Ewen Maddock Dam for all members, new members, spouses, kids and families.
An agenda for the AGM will be issued within the next week. Two key issues which will be voted are:
Whether Ewen Maddock Fish Mangement Inc can also take on stocking of Baroon Pocket Dam.
Voting in of the Committee and a number of proposed  sub-committees or additional committee positions.
Therefore maximum attendance at the AGM is required. If you can't make it then please notify Dave Brace and if possible appoint a proxy to vote on matters on your behalf.
We will be running notices in the local newspapers including those servicing Maleny / Montville due to the potential interest in Baroon Pocket Dam. The best way of attracting interest, however, is by word of mouth so please spread the word and encourage all interested personnel to come along to the AGM.
Best regards
Steve Evans

Well our inaugural year is done and dusted. We held our AGM on the back verandah of the Country Club with a reasonable turn out with some new prospective members also turning up which was fantastic.

The executive committee was voted in with myself being re-elected as President, Steve Evans as Secretary who has been doing a sensational job and Andy Matthies as our Treasurer. We also voted in a sub-committee which consists of Andrew Kennedy as our Stocking co-ordinator along with Robbie Wells as assistant and our Fundraising co-ordinator is Ross Dixon. Graham Foley will be taking care of sponsoship and our webmaster is Shaun Parkinson. Thanks to all who put their hand up to take some of the work load.

One item on the agenda today was if EMFMI. wanted to restock Baroon Pkt. Dam as well as Ewen Maddock and the decision was overwelming to do so. So our efforts very soon will be spent to take the appropriate measures to apply for permits and writting up a management plan to submit to DEEDI to restock the Baroon Pkt. fishery as well.

Following the AGM we had a BBQ lunch at the lake with all family members which was fantastic with the kids spending most of their time on the yaks and in the water, surfacing only for a steak burger and a soft drink while the adults gorged themselves on Andrew's Redclaw that he had on ice, infact I had to leave the table from the embarrassment of eating too many of them.

Thank you to all members for attending the AGM/BBQ.

Cheers Dave
