Title: Tenterfield Lures
Post by: bingarox on July 31, 2011, 09:06:56 AM
Hey all,
I know there was a post about these not very long ago, but I decided to restart it. While going through the shed, I came across some lures that I thought I could do some research on. And this site is one of the best for that. Anyway, I have 4 of these lures, all but one have exactly the same writing. 3 of them say Tenterfield Lures and it's either J or T. McFeeters and have Dart on the underside of the bib. The other has exactly the same except it has J or T.g.Mc Feeters (this is the white/black one). Any more info on these lures would be muchly appreciated.

Nice collection mate, wish they were in my tackle box. From memory I think his name was Terry or Trevor & the lures were made in Tenterfield during the 70's & early 80's. Caught my PB Yella 5.2 Kg on one in Glenlyon years ago. I think Jaz lures have bought the rights to them as I picked up Tenterfield Shrimp a few months ago under the new manufacturers name.

Cheers Andrew

Lures with T&J were made when Trevor and Jenny were together, lures with just the T was made after they split up.

Just adding that these lures have absolutely no value and are pretty much useless.  I'm about to hold an environmentally friendly lure disposal day, please feel free to pack these up and send them to me for safe disposal.
