Glenlyon Dam
« on: July 13, 2011, 06:30:54 PM »
Hi guys,
I'm heading out to Glenlyon dam sometime in the upcoming weeks, and I'm wondering if anyone had any advice on where to fish, what lures/bait they are taking at the moment, or even if it has been fishing good or not. We will obviously be targeting yellas and cod. Hopefully this trip will result in a bit better ending than last trip only catching one cod (undersized) and a catty. That trip was a result of too much fishing and not enough preparation. Anyway any advice would be good.
 :thanks
Binga

A bad day of fishing beats a great day of working.

G'Day Binga,
The man to talk to at Glen Lyon is Brian Dare, somewhat of a legend in those parts Brian will tell you what's what and what's not. However I must say thata on my last visit I donutted savagely. Tried everything; spinnerbaitshardbodies and softies, nothing. Glen Lyon can be like that apparently. You get some days when fires and others when it don't. Just fish hard and hope for the best.
Cheers,
JD

I think it depends on who he was talking to before you showed up...he's a sensitive soul y'know.
