RIP ole mate. Fred.
« on: July 06, 2012, 07:53:19 AM »
Came across a few older photos and scanned this one of a departed mate and well known fishing identity in Ausfish, Fred.

Some will remember him as Touchy. (Never did tell me how he got that name??)
This photo is a bit special in that its Touchys first Awoonga Barra. He caught the only fish of the entire 4 day trip with a dozen or so of his mates. Fred suffered badly with his arthritis and it had him worse in the hands. But he persisted through the pain and bingo!!

This was in the large weedbed just out in the middle of the main basin from the old boat ramp.

Thought I`d share it here.

RIP mate.

He was a great bloke.  Passed away due to complications following an infection caused by a Flathead spike.
