Bremer River Bass (24/09/12)
« on: September 25, 2012, 05:05:10 PM »
This was my 4th time hitting this particular part of the Bremer but every time is more exciting than the last. I headed out yesterday alone to hopefully catch and release some healthy Ipswich Bass. I was out on the water at about 10:30, the aim was to catch a Bass on my new lure the 'Predatek Boomerang Mid diver Purple Thing' (http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Predatek-Boomerang-65mm-Mid-Black.aspx?pid=130459&menuFrom=31001&variant=true), which was consequently the last one left on the shelf. I had landed two bass by 11:30, 10 minutes apart from each in the same little pool.

Picture one - 29cm, smallest bass I had ever caught. The lure I used was the 'Kokoda Kingspin Spinner Bait - 1/8oz, TS'

Picture two - 38cm, quite a healthy bass caught on the 'Predatek Boomerang Mid diver Purple Thing' sorry for the blurry picture :P

Overall weather was good but started to worsen, can't wait to head out again!

The predatek is amazing , I saw some bubbles and cast right on top of them after 2 cranks I was in, probably my best lure just hopefully I don't loose it  :thumbsup

Get yourself a tackle back or snahu plus a extendable pole with a pig tail on the end and it will take a ugly snag to loss your lure.
