Yellow and Black Lures
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:37:21 AM »
Was speaking to Fitz about my saw dust factory and he advised me that he liked Yellow and Black lures.

I said yeah no probs and went a built him some 2RS lures in yellow and black. Got no pics of them completed as the finish or top clear coat was bloody ordinary, found out that you don’t put clear on at night or high humidity as it turns the clear cloudy.

No mater, Gave Fitz the low down on the finish and he wanted swimmers not hangers so these will fit for the job.

In the end built the following for him

A  Flatt-RRs
A Phatt- RRs
And the first ever
Naraa-RRs

I hadn’t seen the Naraa swim so we made a plan to give them a swim where we may have a chance to get a fish on one.
Gotta say was real impressed with the action of the Naraa and it had a great slow roll across the top as well for a surface action. So recon it will go off like a frog in a sock when I get that top water bib on it and it becomes the Slapp-RRs

Anyway, on about the 10 cast this 46cm job wanted to have a look as well.

So all happy with the end result and will churn a few more of these out. Just working on another model at the moment being the Skinii – RRs and will this shape will also get a run as the Topp – RRs.

Anyhoo, happy fishing.

Bass being such an aggressive fish I personally believe that colour has not much to do with the amount of fish caught, as I have caught bass on dark red, bright pinks, yellow but in saying that I found that bass generally go for the darker colors such as purple, black which is believed to work more effectively due to its silhouette in the water, this combination of yellow and black would be great for certain areas.
