Summary
Overall the Lake Wivenhoe event was more productive that the Brisbane River Bass Opening Classic throughout the event both in total fish caught and average per competitor. It is noteworthy that only the largest Bas and largest Golden Perch is scored per angler per day. Many anglers caught multiple fish and these are not reflected in the points or statistics.
2012 is the first time competitors began emailing in fish pictures during the day via their mobile phones, organizers expect that this will grow in time and may incorporate this technology more in future events.

If they are emailing their pics in during the day Fitzy, did you let them upgrade?

Ross Cobb is going to have as many yaks as me at this rate  ::)

It's biggest bass and biggest yella each day, not everything. So no upgrading from biggest once it is reached but can upgrade pics. Didn't get any that emailed a pic and then emailed a pic of a larger fish later.

Sel as I did not attend this year I have no problem with lower results personally.

But do feel listing placings down to last place may have a negative effect on the event in the long term, bearing in mind it is called a convention rather than a pure competition.

Attendees will vary from very skilled, to just mugs who attend for a variety of reasons and will also have a mix of egos.

Feel it is better to leave the real enthusiastic anglers to make enquiries of their placing privately with Fitzy
