Warwick Region Fishing Report 19 September 2014

LESLIE DAM: With the lovely weather conditions over the weekend, Leslie Dam continued to improve.  Local anglers reported on some nice Golden Perch landed just up past the Black Boys and opposite the concrete boat ramps.  The majority of theses fish were caught while casting TN60 Jackalls and there were a few landed on blades.  There were a few Golden Perch and Catfish landed on Saltwater yabbies and worms off the rocks near the dam wall.  Live shrimps also worked quite well, accounting for some quality Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam also produced some nice fish over the weekend.  There were some quality Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies from the bank, a little closer to the weed edges than in the deeper water.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon is fishing very well at present, with anglers landing some nice fish over the past week.  There were some lovely Bass and Golden Perch landed while casting OSP Power Dunks and Imakatsu Piranhas.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Fishing in our local rivers and creeks has definitely picked up since the warmer weather.  We had reports of 2 legal Murray Cod landed over the week, both on hard body lures.  There were also some quality Golden Perch landed below the Bacon Factory on saltwater yabbies.  There was also a lovely Murray Cod landed in the Dalrymple over the weekend.
