The camping area is on the NSW side of the Dumaresk River which forms the border so would you need a sip to fish it and who stocks it?
Actually it would be interesting to see what stocking assns stock which waters.
Cheers

You can fish the southern side of Bonshaw with a NSW fishing receipt and catch fish funded by the Queensland Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme or fish stocked by the NSW State Government.  I guess if you can cast a long way you would technically need both a NSW fishing receipt and a Queensland Stocked Impoundment Permit.  It should be interesting to see how it is policed and administered.  Lets face it, calling Bonshaw Weir an "impoundment" is about as clever as the DAF's definition of the word "take".

Three of the listed "Impoundments" are on the border and can be accessed from either Qld or NSW.  Bonshaw Weir, Goondiwindi (Hilton) Weir and Beebo Weir.  I'm told that a deal will be done between DAF and NSW DPI to allow these waters to be fished from the NSW side with a Qld SIP.  Based on surface area, I wouldn't think they will receive a very large allocation, unless of course the rules are changed and a bigger cut is taken from the larger dams which are already underfunded.
