Title: Brisbane River Lowood Bend
Post by: aussiebasser on January 10, 2011, 06:58:20 PM
Tried to drive from Fernvale to Lowood this arvo.  The road was flooded just before Lowood with the Brisbane River threatening to cover the road.  For those who've been there, the first pic is where the track goes down to the river.  The second and a few hundred metres back towards Fernvale.  With all the water from Withcott etc. still coming it'll be worse tomorrow.

I'm OK, Pam could be stuck in Toowoomba for a couple of days.

And that's a good thing?    :OMG
Seriously though hope everybugger stays safe. Prudence and awareness are imperative. Seemed like the floods were  so far away...
cheers John.
