Title: Qld Wivenhoe Dam
Post by: Doubletrouble on September 03, 2015, 03:50:36 PM
We arrived late, and being our first trip with the new van, we spent a lot of time setting up , and even more time packing up. It was only one night, so we actually spent precious little time on the water. Big W turned on the fog for us as well, so that made things a little more interesting.
I managed a 43cm yella in the hour or so fishing in the afternoon session, and Ana beat that next morning with a 49cm model. Just so that I didn't feel left out, a Tilapia committed suicide by attacking my lure. Naturally, doing our civic duty, it did not get a chance to return to the water. It was given a decent burial, nice and deep. ( or should I say PARTS of it were ..... burp )
The bass seemed a bit scarce, but maybe because we were not closer to the wall.
It was a quick trip, but enjoyable, and we look forward to spending more time on the water.
Cheers

Yeah .... there is no better way to put a smile on her dial than to have a fish on her line, ESPECIALLY if it is bigger than mine.  :P
