Title: Borumba Dam
Post by: lantana on January 18, 2017, 03:55:58 PM
As i said before, the new main ramp is closed due to low water level, the make shift gravel ramp to the side is holding up to 4x4 only but if water gets much lower it will be closed too
thought id give people the heads up in case you are towing a boat up long  distance , you may want to make a call and check if its still open first

Hmmm, well, the lake has risen slightly but still too low for the new ramp. The gravel ramp is a bit better than 4x4 only actually, atleast while in a dry state. I watched a small sedan retrieve a tinny with no problem at all on Thursday, and two other sedans with trailers were parked! Have heard that further ramp alterations are pending and imminent, but the lake itself is close to being closed again due to algal outbreak. Hopefully it'll remain open to fishing like last summer. Water temp in some areas recorded at 32C, yikes!

Same ,same I was also up there Thursday in my kayak and may I say lots of ski boats enjoying the conditions not good for kayaks but hay you get that. It looked like no problems on the ramp but yes much lower and you will come into some large rocks . thought I would share a pic of the Toga I caught , made the long paddle all worth it.
