Why would he be in trouble? I sort of know the area but isn't yaking allowed where he is? If not where is that so I don't find myself in trouble

SEQWater have never fined or prosecuted anyone for kayaking on their lakes. They tolerate those couple of paddlers who regularly launch at Cormorant Bay @ Wivenhoe and paddle across in front of the power station. See them there all the time and nobody does anything. And there's often kayaks ot be seen up the top of NPD. Half their luck I say

Not uncommon up that arm of Kurwongbah!  Seen a few up there whilst chasing a 70 + cm Toga around a few months back.  Cheeky bugger just cruising around a few inches from the surface.  He's definately vegetarian as he wouldn't even sniff anything I threw at it  :-\

As a side note access to the lake via Kayak would be awesome being 5 mins from home  :o

Cheers
Colin

The Yakker or the Toga, Colin  ;)

Would be an ideal spot for yakking, once they get rid of the fossil fuel into noise makers

Hahahaha Brad..............Did I say Toga, I meant to type catfish  ;)  I understand what you mean about the stink boats.   I don't mind the skiers being allowed access to the lake.  I would however like to see a joint access agreement to allow Yaks/Electrics onto the lake even if it was restricted to 1 or 2 days a week for the latter.

Cheers

Totally agree or even if they restricted us to some of the arms of the lake where ski boats/rowers have no interest in going

Have you folks sent your ideas / desires to SEQWater and relevant minister?

Definitely can't hurt, in fact, this is about the only way you're going to get this to happen IMHO.

I can absolutely guarantee you that water skiers will have made submissions to keep fishos and kayakers off the lake.....
