With all the flood water , and not sure how fishing in ocean would go , we got fishing permits and headed out to lake , first cast caught grunter , so kept a few of those for livies , after had a few put one out on 10lb combo , got absolutely smashed couldn't stop him , put another one out took me straight into weed bed and snagged again , 3rd time lucky finally landed a medium size cat fish, good fun and a bit of a challenge , so went back to lure and may caught another smaller catfish from boat ramp . might head out tomorrow ; my friend thanh and his wife are going to get permits too . just got more berkley soft plastics and mini lures for fishing the flats and weed edges.
