Nice looking designs Pat. I guess you have tried them out by now ?
I am interested to know how other people make up there connection from towing point to Trebbles.
I have a few designs under construction at present and I am ' grooving ' the lure and running stainless steel wire from end to end. Probably an over kill but it is just in case a Cod has a snap at one.
Nothing to show at this point as they are just at the priming stage.

Stick with the full wire I recon BG. Will make for long lasting lures that won't get broken by a big fish. :youbeauty

I'd tend to agree with Fitzy's recommendation especially if cod are a possibility however I have caught a 50 cm MRCod on a balsa lure with the twisted wire hook hangers epoxied in 25 mm. Cheers Pat.

Pat, apart from the possibility of a big fish breaking it in two, the full wire is a good idea as it will act as a 'keel weight' and provide 2 great needs in a popper.
1. that it always rides in the water at its best attitude to 'POP'
2. the weight will tend to lessen the problem of a fishes bow wave pushing it aside as it strikes, with resultant loss of hook up.
Keep up the good work mate :youbeauty
