Lake Kurwongbah closed to paddling Sunday 25 October and Sunday 1 November 2015
Date: 14/10/2015
Due to the shared recreation agreement that applies at Lake Kurwongbah (Sideling Creek Dam), the lake will be closed to paddling on the following days:
•Sunday 25 October 2015 for a Waterski Queensland event
•Sunday 1 November 2015 for a charity skiing event
Paddling from Monday to Wednesday inclusive is not affected.
Your safety is our first priority, which is why the two activities are permitted on different days, and why paddling will not be permitted during these events.

Interesting that they don't schedule these events on their designated days, i.e. Thursday-Saturday

Dont know too much about the ski club there but seem to remember reading somewhere that a have a round of QLD championships over a whole weekend in October.
