When talking of a cheap kayak I wouldn't recommend highlighting the word LEAKED in capital letters.  I'm assuming its Chinese to keep the price down.

My bosses kids brought in a few container loads of Chinese yaks last year.  They had a 50/50 leak rate, but they still made a motsa on them.

Click on the Mantra Kayak link in my sig, but they are sooooo top secret that they aren't even on the website yet. Brad and I still have to test them out before being released to the public  ;D

PS as for the worlds leading manufacturer I think Brad was talking about China where the yaks are made, not the kayak manufacturer itself.

Got a mate who supplies the powdered plastic to local manufacturers, 30kg of powdered poly costs them about $120........ for a yak they sell for around $1400

Awful lot of "mould and development costs"

You often find chinese sell the same item to many different buyers and rebadge it to the buyers desired name on it.

Can roll those embedded decals that every brand runs in after construction with a heat gun & a roller.
