A bridge crossing over the Balonne River near Warkon Station. Very much an 'out of the way' sort of a place , but an oasis for the weary traveller . Zoom out the google map to see what I mean.

Gday Mate, The sides of the river around the bridge are they reserve so you can pitch a smal tent or is it all private property? thanks

The bridge area is called Pialaway Reserve . The camping area is 3km from the bridge (upstream and on the southern bank ) , zoom out the google map , you can see the track . I saw evidence of camp fires beside the river near the bridge , but as to legalities of camping there I have no idea. Very quiet , we only passed one car once we turned onto Warkon Rd on our way to Surat .

Pialaway Reserve is location number 43 .

Ive heard a lot about Warkon, from this evidence this dosent appeal to me at all. Is there better water up at the camping area?
