Title: Bass breeding habits.
Post by: rayke1938 on October 14, 2011, 03:36:17 PM
I know that bass have to have access to brackish water to breed. But am completely in the dark of the actual process.
Are the eggs lain in a nest or just distributed into weed or gravel and then fertilized by the male.
Do any of the parents guard the eggs?
 What is the incubation period?
When do the parents return to the fresh?
When do the fry/fingerlings return to the fresh?
What triggers the migration to the salt? Length of days, temperature.rain events.
 Cheers
Ray
