The Alabama rig would be considered illegal in Queensland.  Using one could cause your Karma to drop even more.

THe Alabama rig is about as unweildy as a lure could get and has been banned ina number of US States. I'd hate to even try one, be like trying to get a cat into a box.

Cats fit well in crab pots.

Only thing better than a cat for crab bait is half a cat!

You will find Bass in surprisingly small water, and the size of the water doesn't equate with the size of the fish that are there. I've pulled some big Bass out of pretty skinny water, but he main thing is they must have shelter and tucker. It also helps if the water isn't contaminated to a terminal level. On the other hand Carp will happily live in mud. Also if you cut a cat in half you can bait 2 pots.

Has anyone actually caught a fish in the Iron Pot Creek? I'm interested as I live quite close to it
