Had a quick afternoon session on the Dumaresq River while on my way to Victoria . I launched my yak at the usual place ( see previous reports ) .The river is currently running quite dirty and at least half a metre higher than on previous trips.

Only ended up landing the one cod but dropped 4 others. Was a nice little 2-3 hour break before driving the rest of the 1600kms to get to my oldies place.
Cheers,
Dave.

That is the plan, but don't tell the wife. She got the s&^ts with me for fishing alone.

Just jealous that I missed out!

Mate I fished the Dumaresque before when it was about the same level and grubby. I don't think the Cod like it and tend to hang out of the current. Ive had the same experience with bass. They don't seem to want to get out into the current. Can't really blame them.
