Post by: Editor on December 23, 2013, 03:01:28 PM
Hydro Tasmania warning to anglers at Arthurs Lake

Hydro Tasmania and Marine and Safety Tasmania urge anglers to exercise caution at Arthurs Lake due to high water levels. Levels in Arthurs Lake are significantly higher than usual, which means power lines are closer than they would normally be to the surface of the water.
• Powerlines that cross the boat ramp at Pump House Bay are now immediately above the heads of people launching boats.
• Powerlines crossing Cow Paddock Bay pose a risk to those entering this bay by boat.
Hydro Tasmania and Marine and Safety Tasmania urge boaters to avoid these two areas and to launch larger boats only from the dam wall boat ramp. For more information contact Michael Bidwell, Land Program Manager on (03) 62 305 160 or 0429 418 360.
