Some lakes re-opened to on-water recreation 22 February 2015

We have re-opened the following lakes to water-based recreation following the severe weather event:
Hinze Dam
Lake Atkinson
Lake Dyer
Lake Moogerah
Lake Maroon
Lake Wivenhoe
The following lakes will remain closed to water-based recreation until further notice and will not re-open today (Sunday 22 February 2015):
Enoggera Reservoir
Ewen Maddock Dam
Lake Baroon
Lake Borumba
Lake Kurwongbah (Sideling Creek Dam)
Lake Macdonald
Lake Manchester
Lake Samsonvale (North Pine Dam)
Lake Somerset
Lake Wyaralong
We understand people are keen to get back on the water but visitor safety is our priority.
All other lakes are being checked and we’ll re-open them for water-based recreation activities ASAP.
Remember to play it safe and thanks for your patience following the severe weather event.
