Lake Dyer and Lake Maroon re-open to water-based recreation Sunday 22 February 2015

Date:
22/02/2015

Lake Dyer and Lake Maroon have re-opened to water-based recreation.

We urge caution for all visitors – bear in mind conditions at the lake and surrounding areas may have changed as a result of the recent rain event.

Remember to play it safe – our rangers can’t be everywhere to help you.

All Seqwater lakes will be checked for hazards and damage following the storm before being opened to on-water recreation.

Until then, all lakes remain closed to on-water recreation, particularly those in our northern region which bore the brunt of the severe weather.

Once lakes do re-open, please play it safe and bear in mind that conditions at lakes may have changed as a result of the recent rain event.

Visitor safey is our priority.

Please visit the Seqwater website, blocked link and Twitter pages for updates on re-opened lakes.
Ten lakes to remain closed to on-water recreation

Date:
22/02/2015

The following lakes will remain closed to water-based recreation until further notice due to the severe weather event:

Enoggera Reservoir
Ewen Maddock Dam
Lake Baroon
Lake Borumba
Lake Kurwongbah (Sideling Creek Dam)
Lake Macdonald
Lake Manchester
Lake Samsonvale (North Pine Dam)
Lake Somerset
Lake Wyaralong

These lakes will not re-open today (Sunday 22 February 2015).

Visitor safety is our priority and until we can assess the full impacts of the recent severe weather, they will remain closed in the interests of public safety

fishing ethics are the things that we do when we are unobserved by others!!
