Just a little further down the Maleny-Kenilworth Road , there is a turnoff to the Eastern Mary River Road. Only 500metres or so from the intersection to the bridge crossing. Access to the river from the western side of the bridge .

I was unable to get pictures from the next bridge crossing ( as of the 5.10.11 the bridge was closed and still under reconstruction ) . Also , the google map misrepresents the location of the Cambroon Caravan Park as it is situated directly opposite the intersection to this bridge crossing . It would be handy for any point to point down river expeditions .

The next public access to the river is near the intersection of the Maleny-Kenilworth Rd and Sunday Creek Rd. There are picnic areas on both sides of the road and it is situated on the junction of the Mary river and Little Yabba Creek.

If you follow the Sunday Creek Road for about 5kms (ish ) you'll come to a National Park camping area called Charlie Moreland.

Just out of Kenilworth on the Eumindi-Kenilworth Rd , not sure on how to access here , the banks are steep. Saw Bass swimming below the bridge .

To get to the Moy Pocket bridge crossing , this is the road sign to keep an eye out for while on the Kenilworth-Brooloo Road.

Yabba Creek is a tributary of the Mary river , it flows from Lake Borumba down through the town of Imbil.

Between the town and Borumba there are many other river crossings on Yabba Creek. Fish supposedly found in here are Bass, Mary River Cod, Saratoga and SOOTY GRUNTER ( wtf!!!!! )

Awesome location report Dave. I was scouting around up there last week at some of the same places.

There was some extra code from the map info... I tried to clean it up for you but may have wrecked the maps as I can't see them.
Can you see them?

If you get the link from the map, grab the top code option, not the bottom & just paste the link into your post with anything else & the software here should do the rest  :thumbsup

Cheers,

Great Report!!

I was up there with the family myself last week.  Blown off the dam on Friday after 1 small bass.  Fished Stirlings Crossing on the Saturday prior to the wind getting up for 1 more small bass.  Keen to get back out there as I saw swirls from what I believe to be some big Toga haunting that stretch of water.  I just wasn't good enough to tempt them.
