If Lake Wivenhoe was open to outboards?

Editor:
What would you do if Lake Wivenhoe was opened to 4 stroke only outboard motors?

rayke1938:
I would happy if outboards were allowed only if they were allowed on the same conditions as those allowed at Lenthalls.
 Speed limit 6knots.
Max of 60hp 4 stroke only or compliant di 2 strokes.

Cheers
Ray

G'day Ray

What about no maximum motor size, 4 stroke (no DI), and 8 knots?

rayke1938:
Most boats at 8 knots creates wash even at 6 knots my tinney is borderline.
Most speed restriction areas have signs 6 knots no wash.
I have no problems with di 2 strokes similar to etech.
I am fortunate as I already have a tinney with a 30hp 4 stroke as well as a 4 hp four stroke.
I do not for see seq water allowing old technology 2 strokes even with the vastly improved 2 stroke oils available so anyone with this type of motor is going to miss out.
 Cheers
Ray

Love the fresh:
What's the point of letting in outboards then restricting speed? Is it to keep out skiers and hooning? And let it be fishers only?

FYI: I have 60 yam 4st and love bass fishing, my main haunt is hinze with electric. But want to get around more.
