Title: Wivy and a Golden moment.
Post by: estuary girl on July 07, 2012, 10:18:27 PM
Been awhile since I posted mainly as I have been playing on the salt and have just gotten back from four weeks away down south.Went down for the Dave Irvine Snapper Classic at Coffs Harbour and went on to spend a week at The Entrance chasing Salmon off the beaches,a week in my Dad's home town of Wollongong catching up with mates from KFDU and adding 3 new species caught from the yak then back up to Forster.
Anyway came home monday and headed out to Wivy with Sel on tuesday to stretch the arms and have a look around.
Was so good to be back out on Wivy again and it was the typical warm winter day with not a breath of wind darting across the surface.I picked up a Yella or the day on the troll and went for a look see at an old haunt for anything lurking around.Found some interest but they had moved when we returned an hour or so later.
Witnessed pelicans dive bombing bait that was close to the surface and picked up alot of dead boney bream? floating on the surface as I was trolling.
Was great to witness Sel catch his first Bass for the year on one of his homemade lures which really topped off a great day on the water with a good mate.

Good work Toni.  :thumb I'm glad you posted that picture, The STEVE will won't believe you tho, apparently there's none in Wivenhoe.
Not a bad showing on the sounder, definately enough there to stop & fish them....

Cheers,

fitz..

Nice to see you found a yella Toni, and hope you put an X on the side of the kayak so you can find that spot again in September.
