Here is some above & below water pictures of the same country that might help explain how Side Imaging works & what it is showing on the screen.

Wow, every time I see something showing these side imaging fish finders I'm amazed at how good they would be for fishing. It's almost like cheating!
All I have to do now is save up for one. Just under $1000 from the USofA.

Alot of top shelf sounders these days with GPS capability have region lock outs, so save your coin as you do not want to purchase twice right.

But with the dollar at or around parity if is not right with the profiteering that is happening at the moment, they should be a lot lower in value, may nt be the same as fresh air doesnt hold up the roof but prices should be lower.

CCFISHER:
Hi Fitzy,

So what model Humminbird Sounder is that?
Approx price $?
Any reason for old scale on Temp & Speed?

Cheers

CC :)

CC,

Was a 997. Screen shot taken at Platypus Cliff, Lake Wivenhoe.

I always run depth in feet & the speed was still just on default. I run my Matrix 97 in knots tho.

Cheers,

fitz..
