Title: ?? Ways to store kayak @ home ??
Post by: sgcjames on August 10, 2012, 06:30:56 PM
Hi everybody

Just got my birth day pressie two weeks early  :youbeauty A brand new Viking Tempo fisherman kayak in desert colour.  It set me back $ 1095.oo from the shop at chermside it came with seat, portable fish finder, paddle, water bottle and two tie down straps. (Thats enough braging)
The thing I need advice with is how best to store it at home when I can not use it. :'(
I have a high set house and had thought of that I could drive the car under the house and useing rope and pullies I could lift it off the roof racks and store it their held to the roof. It did not work out like I had hoped. I had two hooks spaced 1 meter apart on the passangers side of the car and two pullies on the drivers side with the rope running from one hook to its oppisite pullie  and tied together so when I pulled they both moved at the same time.

Can any one suggest something better ??

Cheers

James
