Was asked to go fishing for saratoga down the coast at hinze dam but wasnt really even aware they where in there ???
Can anyone give me any info about these fish in there, are there only small numbers ? i dont think the SIP covers this dam either.
I was thinking of hitting this dam up anyways so any info on the dam in general for fishing and kayaking is appreciated.

You need a permit from the local stocking group to fish Hinze. Not sure where they are available these days (Used to get mine from the kiosk).
Certainly are Toga in there, quiet a few. Spinnerbaits used to be the go.

keep 5 bucks in your sky rocket in case they come up to you, can get them from go camping and doug burts
Where, well the edges obviously, but have a look around the island on the western arm and bass bay ;)

OOOoooohhh .... sounds interesting, im suprised they are actually in that dam so far south ... makes you wonder why the toga stocking at moogerah all those years ago failed ??? I think i had heard about the permits available from go camping and fishing i suppose its not far from the dam after all.
Hope the bass population down there are a bit larger than maroon as 30cm bass are starting to lose their buzz a bit to catch ... not saying they dont have me in the weed every now and then ::)
Thanks guys

Nerang Camping and Disposals used to sell permits for Hinze, be worth giving them a buzz.

Brad they now trade as 'GO Camping' but are the still same crowd as before, with the fishing section out the back in a separate building
