I have been cleaning out some old tackle boxes with lures and found two lures with the initials P.Newell the models are "Callop" and another unknown longer version, Both are metallic painted and wood constructed and with scale patterns. Are these made by the Peter Newell who also made Kaidatchas??? Just not sure if any of his lures had metallic paint?

Ross, They would be by the same Peter Newell. The Kadaitcha's were only one of a raft of models he made over the years. If you want post a pic or if you don't want every collector beating a path top your door ::), PM the pics and I will attempt to ID the longer lure for you :thumbsup
Peter did use a lot of metallic paint in the later years. He bought a trailer load from an panel shop that was closing down.
Cheers Brad

Ross,
yes they are both Peter Newell Lures.
The longer one is well it looks like a model called " Boney " the Metallic paint came late 90's onwards I think.
They are both nice lures Ross hang onto them.
