G'Day Lokky

Perseverance Dam is not a fishing lake, it is a waterskiers dam. Hence there is no listing of it here.

If you want to go fishing, go to Cressbrook or Cooby Dam.

Cheers,

Ok thanks. Cressbrook was the other choice.

I not long came back from Cressbrook, managed 3 fish between 3 of us for 2 days fishing. Managed 1 late afternoon on surface and the other on spinner (bass) We were only in yaks and did not do a huge venture. We went from the camping grounds all the way left to the wall. We did not go to the right around the bend.
However there is a nice bay just out from the camp grounds to the right, with a nice creek that runs from it. I got both mine there.

I ain been there in the last few weeks but before that the fish were holding not far from the boat ramp. Just out in front of them actually. So check around it with the sounder while the boat warms up. Been some reclaw around again to. Mate got 80 good 1s last weekend. Supposedly its started coming good again in the last few weeks for bass. Before that it wasn real flash. I only live up the road from it but been going to other places. Might go for a look over weekend. Best of luck mate.

I've done well casting spinnerbaits and / or rattling spot type around the edges. Also done well on small slugs drifted down through the thermals.

Fow open water work a decent fish finder is a definite advantage to find the fish, or rather to eliminate the dead water.

Cheers,

fitz..

If ya keen on bait fishing mate ya cant beat live shrimp at cressbrook. Rig them on small hooks and count them down to the depth that the fish are holding. I recon alot of people use too big of hooks when bait fishing for bass. Small blades, and jackalls do well but in cressy an the good old 3inch slider grub is tops. Also any deep diving lure is good in the schools trolling.

Finally got a run at Cressbrooke yesterday.
Not a bight on the fish front but got a feed of yabbies so was worth while.
