Well it was a busy morning with the CFSG.
Got a call that Bill was going to be early at the first stocking site, so it was a mad rush to Woodford, to find Bill waiting for us camped up under a tree taking it easy.
So First up It was a few thousand Bass in to the Woodford Water Storage
Then A few Thousand in to the Stanley River
The a quick trip to the Waraba creek weir, a few thousand in there as well, then the rest in to the Caboolture River at Centenary lakes.
Members also took individual buckets of fish as far away as Mission flats and Rocksberg, so the fish were well distributed.
Had a few dramas when Bill managed to find the derelict telstra pit with no lid on it with the Trailer, luckily Tim has been watching to much telly and had a couple of snatch straps with him, so he was quickly extricated by rotating the trailer in to the air by hitting it hard with the snatch strap from the side.
Then my youngest son fell in to the Stanley, much to every one's (but his) delight! He was even less impressed when the boys helped him out by throwing buckets of water on him until the mud was all washed off!

Where is Waraba creek weir?
What numbers went in?

Andrew could you let me know what size tha Bass were, let go in the Stanley and are they recognizable as Bass.
This would have been above the weir I presume ?
Some may wash down to where I am hunting and I will know what to expect in my traps.

The fingerlings were big, probably 60 to 70mm, strangely enough bass fingerlings have light stripes, easiest way to recongnise them. (They can also look a little dull compared to perch) Yes above the Weir, went in at the road bridge.
Fitzy, it was Bill Provtor so numbers, as usual, much larger than ordered, the fish numbers were pretty rough at each site, probably 3 to 4 thousand at each location, with about 20,000 going in to the River at the end. The original order was for 20,000 all up.
Waraba creek wier is in Caboolture township, its about 50m upstream of where the creek meets the river. The Caboolture River wier backs the creek up so Waraba wier only about 4 foot higher than the river level. Nice little water way for a paddle (hard to find access spots though, particulalry if the water is a bit low)
