Carp in the Wilson
« on: October 06, 2012, 08:14:55 PM »
I went up river from LIsmore yesterday arvo to see if the Bass wanted to play. Nice warm day not much wind and barometer at 1016. Sounds ideal? I thought so too. Anyway before I'd gone far I spotted a mob of carp on the surface so thought I'd have some fun and tossed in a chubby or "crankbait" if you prefer. I dragged it past the noses of a few fish then this bloody thing hit it and I began doubting my wisdom. I eventually landed it and it went 55cm on thebrag mat. Not as big as I thought it might have been but didn't it go. What a pity they are such an ugly damn fish. It died a premature and unnatural death.

fishing is not essential to life, it's much more important
