Snowbee Dry Bags and Duffles - Product Review by Jeff Brown

Snowbee Dry Bags and Duffles

Snowbee has offered anglers many versatile products over time. The recent introduction of the dry bag and duffle range are further examples of this.

The two dry bags are 25 ltr and a 60 ltr. I chose a sixty litre to throw wet muddy waders in at the end of a days guiding.

Construction is from a tough 500 denier PVC nylon PVC material making it durable enough to be thrown in and out of cars and boats without too much concern. To give you an idea of the how much room the sixty litre version has, I have placed in it five sets of thigh waders, a set of Snowbee XS Breathable waders and two sets of wading boots and had no trouble closing the roll down closure straps. A reinforced wide-mouth opening with roll-down facility allows for easy management of contents. The roll down feature incorporates two end and two top adjustable clip straps to secure contents, creating all-round protection from the elements.

Snowbee Travel Dry Bags

Two 1.5" webbing straps track under the bag adding even more strength, especially when carrying heavier loads. Cross compression straps and the end straps close the bag down.

A removable webbing shoulder strap has a rubber shoulder pad for comfort and is fully adjustable to 4ft when fully extended. In addition there are two carry-handles for convenience. Each bag has an outer zipped compartment ideally suited for travel documents with a clear address label pouch.

Even when full the 60 ltr dry bags would make an ideal addition to keeping gear dry even in small tinnies as it would fit behind the rear or in front of the thwart seats.

The "Duffle" series are made from the same material and come in three sizes; 5 (15 cm dia.), 20 (24 cm dia.) and 55 litre (31 cm dia.). Each dry sack features a wide-entry, roll down top with locking clips.

Additional ring tabs make it possible to secure the contents with a small padlock (not included) The smallest size makes an ideal waterproof Camera Bag and can either be worn over the shoulder or around the waist, using an adjustable carry strap supplied.

The two larger sizes make ideal boat bags to keep clothing, food etc dry, when boat fishing, or make an ideal waterproof "kit bags".

Depending on personal preferences in style, both the duffels and dry bags are versatile products. For what it is worth I find the easy access to the dry bags a major advantage. This is especially true to pack and retrieve difficult or unusual shape such as waders.
