Carcoar is renown as a redfin hotspot. Jigging in 8 to 10 meters
of water is a popular method for catching the redfin.
Golden Perch are taken on deep diving lures trolled around any
available structure or break lines.
The occasional Murray cod is also taken on these deep diving lures.
Also worth a try for cod is to try casting deep diving lures and
spinnerbaits around the margins.
Boating
Carcoar Dam is open to all boating activities.
A concrete boat ramp is provided.
Camping
Camping with Caravan access is permitted at but can be staked
out early in peak times. Ranger on site.
