24km from Chinchilla. Travel east from Chinchilla for 10km, take Hopelands / Kogan (Condamine River) turnoff, proceed 9km to Hopelands School then turn right, continue 2.2km to Archers Crossing Road (first gravel road on right), follow 4km to river.

60km from Chinchilla. Access via Barakula turnoff at Chinchilla. Direction available from Qld Forrest Service at Barakula. No facilities. Camping permitted. Not suitable for boating.
