Yes. However. I reckon just ignore the bass closed season on Ewen Maddock Dam. Any enforcement officer who would prosecute you would know that he is putting a target on his back by booking you for bass fishing during closed season at EMD.

We know it's wrong, B&FP know it's wrong, DAFF knows its wrong. It will be changed during the review, bet your left one on it...... just go fish there.

Yella's are a better option anyway. There are not a huge amount of the old stocking of bass, the majority caught are still well under 40, the yella's are hitting 50 no worries.

I'll be suggesting we stock more yella's this year. We only put about 5000 in, and their catch rate is higher than the 100,000 odd bass we have put in over the same period.

I love a conundrum, they can't add it to the SIP scheme because it has a closed season.  The can't lift the closed season for one stocked impoundment, and not another, like the mid Brisbane River above Mt Crosby weir.  Where will that leave DAFF?

Forgive my ignorance here, but I thought as a stocked impoundment that does not have a river flow into and out of it, that the closed season would not apply. I know it's not part of the stocked impoundment program.

As I said forgive my ignorance I am fairly new to bass fishing.

There are only a select few dams exempt from the closed season.
