Hi Fitzy,Thanks for the reply. It's not the Nogoa, it is a creek that runs through a mates property. I'm not sure what its name is I will have to find out. sorry. The Nogoa is always very dirty due to all of the muddy water flowing into it from Lake Maraboon it's a shame because it could be a really nice river to fish otherwise. I have heard of Toga being caught in the Nogoa but I have not tried myself.RegardsAdrian
G'Day Adrian,Thanks for the reply. I know toga get caught in the Nogoa River through town there at the weirs (tho I've not caught them there myself) & further downstream towards the Dawson/MacKenzie. Do you know if there's any in the Nogoa River "upstream" of Lake Maraboon or in the lake itself? I'd never really thought about it before.... Cheers,fitz..
Not bad for your first toga mate theres some pretty sizable fish there ! Steve
Hi Steve,I was stoked to get Toga of this calibre on my first attempt. The biggest fish were around 750mm (only had a carpenters measuring tape at the time) and the smallest one was 500mm. All caught on lures, some on my home made ones as well. I have pulled a couple of sooties out of the creek also here is a picture of one caught on one of my home made lures.CheersAdrian
G'Day Pilly. The Sooty throws things into a spin a bit. Can I ask what system/catchment you caught it in? They were introduced into Funnel Creek (part of the Connors River) years back & have spread down into the Connors, Isaac. Im interested to see if they've moved into other systems. Been hoping the dirtier water might stop their spawning in other rivers... Cheers,fitz..
