Time for one final trip to the west for a Greenfish fix next week, then no more 'till December. Four days over on the Dumaresq beckons.

Good luck, looks like I wont be getting my usual September trip to Glen Lyon chasing cod, to flat out at work, wont give me the time off!   :'(

Interesting that you still fish for them during the closed season a big No , No

regulations / fines / and jail terms need to be much tougher on those who do wrong  :Hunting)

Ah ... does the closed seasons effect the stocked impoundments such as Glenlyon dam ?

No closed season at Glen Lyon dam, its in Queensland (just).

THat's right you can legally catch Cod in Qld in impoundments during the closed season. BRian Dare at Glen Lyon reckons NSW will follow suit before tto long. Let's face it the dams are a "put and take" fishery, so whether the Cod spawn there or not is immaterial.

Cod closed season in Qld only applies to the border rivers, not all Murray Darling catchment river. No Qld dams/lakes have a Murray Cod closed season.

NSW the closed season applies everywhere...
