How much does this model approximately retail fo Fitzy? Been thinking of getting rid of my double and down sizing to something like the Dirigo.
Do you need 10' for a reason? A 12 footer will be easier to paddle, and faster. I prefer sit-ins now, it's easier to stick a rod up under the front when you get in thick cover and they need less water to float. The centre of balance is a lot lower which makes them feel more stable.
Dave have you checked out the Old Town Dirigo 106 Angler?Works perfect for skinny water. I've been paddling one in places like Dumaresq, Stanley, Severn rivers etc.http://oldtowncanoe.com.au/kayaks/dirigo106a.html
No advice sorry but is the sit in for more protection against those harmfull UV air rifle pellets
Dave,If you want I can have a Dirigo 120 at Sweetwater Outlook on the weekend & you can grab it for a test paddle.Toni has the 106 ATM.Cheers,fitz..
Fitzy , I haven't checked that one out yet . I have noticed while using my Tarpon , skinny water fishing can be pretty hard on the yak , almost like you treat the yak like its stolen . That Dirigo looks too nice to submit to that punishment. Cheers,Dave.
