New PB Stoked
«

After waiting nearly 4 years I have updated my Bass PB , with a bit of manipulation I could of had a unicorn but I will settle for a 58.5cm. After catching hundreds of 56cm bass and then a few 56.5cm models it then took me 4 years to get to a 57cm model and now this beauty.
I fished sunday on my own and was happy to pick up a 50,51 and a tagged 53. It has been about 2 years since I caught a 53 out at NPD. Beau had the day off yesterday and said he was free to join me, so I forced myself to go 2 days in a row and glad I did. Beau equaled his PB while we were there. When I hooked this big muma I said to Beau you are not going to believe this I have caught the same fish as yesterday I can see the tag, then at the same time Beau says thats bigger than 53 and I said hang on that tag still has all the moss on it. Two terrific days on the water with over 90 bass boated on lures and shrimp.

Nice work Dino.
Did you get any bycatch? (Tilapia or fork-tail catfish)
What are the water temps on Lake Samsonvale like at present?

Couple of tandans both sessions and they were whoppers, water temp has been starting off at 15 and climbing to 18 by 10am. Bass moved 3 times on the brag mat while I was trying totake the pic and as the tail looks a bit closed together thats why I am only claiming what I did, no matter what its a new PB for me, when I get that fairdinkum unicorn you will probably hear me from the other side of town

Well done Dino, it's the closet Bass I've seen to a Unicorn anyhow. Andrew sent through the photo of the one on the bragmat to me last night and my bottom jaw hit the keyboard.
It won't be long before someone gets one!
Cheers Dave

Great to know the big girls are still there. If anyone was to catch a unicorn, I'm hoping it would be you mate, or me !
