Not sure when this happend but I have notice nearmap.com is now only taking registered Govt. Commercial and Educational registrations.    This was a great site that now might mean it is back to the lower res google maps from here on.

Even existing members / account holders have been booted from freely viewing maps. Guess they've got to earn a crust somehow & pay the bills..........

In some places Bing maps are better than Google and sometimes the local council site has maps available online as well.
