I might be coming back from sunshine coast early Sunday morning past somerset will have a few hours to kill so thought i had better put kayak on roof, havn't fished somerset before so just looking for suggestion where you would put in & fish ?
don't want your secret spots just a idea would be good ,coming from sunshine coast heading towards Gatton

I'd go past Somerset and either launch at Somerset Park into the top of Wivenhoe, or go a bit further and drop it in at O'Shea's crossing into the Brisbane River. Less boat traffic at both. My choice would be O'Shea's, you can't miss it, the bridge goes over the river and you turn in just before the bridge.

Upto date report from Tim the Brim. Good bass were caught between PVC point & Pelican Point in Somerset yesterday.
You're a brave man considering running the lake lica gauntlet at Somerset on a weekend in the warmer months. That is like ground zero....
